Questions and Answers

Q. Is Ginkgoware a new company?

A. No, we are a new division of CMH Software, Inc. which has been in business for over 13 years. CMH Software specializes in electrical training software.

Q. Looking at your screenshots the program looks like it might be complicated, is it?

A. No, not at all. One nice thing about "i-detect" is that you can save lots of information or hardly any. It's up to you and your preferences. There are no "required" fields.

Q. Do you have a distributor in Canada for "i-detect"?

A. No, not at this time. We are looking into this possibility and may have a Canadian distributor in the near future.

Q. Why would I want to keep a record or journal of my metal detecting activities and adventures?

A. First, its great to know at the end of the year that you made $749 dollars with your old detector and you can now tell your "better half" the old detector has paid for itself and it's time to get that New Model!
Second, it's productive to look at your "journal" and see if you can spot any patterns. Like where most of your silver coins come from or what type of area (park, school, homes, etc) you recover the most money from.
Third, it's nice to keep a detailed record of your detecting activities with pictures to show club members, relatives or friends interested in detecting.
Forth, hopefully none of your detecting equipment will ever be stolen but if it is, it may make an insurance claim easier if you kept track of serial numbers, cost, when purchased , etc. of your hardware in the hardware section of "i-detect".

Q. My club has it's annual hunt coming up, do you ever donate merchandise to clubs for give-a-ways or token hunts?

A. Yes, please email us at sales@ginkgoware.com or post a request in our forum.

Q. Is it safe to order online?

A. Yes, we use the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to safeguard your credit card information, during online transactions. SSL is an extremely safe encryption method to safeguard information sent online.

Q. Will you be adding more control panels to the program?

A. Yes, as we get permission from the various detector manufacturers to use their logos and detector names, we will add additional control panels.
